Dave Morris is a Toronto-based journalist. He is the music editor of EYE WEEKLY, a Toronto alternative weekly newspaper (audited readership 213,000), where in addition to his editing and reviewing duties, he writes Pop Life, a regular column. He has written about everything from rock to avant-garde classical music to the Fringe theatre festival, covered major events such as the South by Southwest festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, and even broken news items such as the hip-hop duo Clipse and Outkast’s Big Boi leaving their respective record companies, stories which were picked up by magazines including Rolling Stone and New York.
His music criticism has appeared in The Walrus, Maisonneuve, The Globe and Mail – Report On Business Magazine, Toro Magazine, THIS Magazine, Minneapolis City Pages, Seattle Weekly, Dusted Magazine and others.
