Dave Morris is a Toronto-based journalist. He has written about everything from currency manufacturing to avant-garde classical music to the Fringe theatre festival, covered major events such as the South by Southwest festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, and even broken news items such as the hip-hop duo Clipse and Outkast’s Big Boi leaving their respective record companies, stories which were picked up by magazines including Rolling Stone and New York.

He is an associate editor at The Globe and Mail’s Report On Business Magazine. Between 2007 and 2010, he was the music editor of EYE WEEKLY, a Toronto alternative weekly newspaper (audited readership 213,000; now defunct), where in addition to his editing and reviewing duties, he wrote Pop Life, a regular column. His writing has appeared in Spin.com, The Walrus, Maisonneuve, Toro Magazine, THIS Magazine, Minneapolis City Pages, Seattle Weekly, Spinner.ca (AOL), Dusted Magazine and others.
